Aluminum
Windows
Most aluminum windows use either single strength (ss) glass or
double strength (ds) glass. The approximate cost to repair
your aluminum window can be figured by calculating the cost of
the glass plus the cost of the labor to remove the old glass
and install the new glass. Single strength glass costs $1.98
per square foot. Double strength glass costs $2.75 per square
foot. You can get a SS or DS glass price by using the price
calculator below. The labor for aluminum window glass replacement costs
between $5.00 and $19.00 depending on the size and type of
installation. We
can also fabricate new windows for certain styles of aluminum
framing. The cost to fabricate new windows is the cost of the
glass plus a fabrication charge of somewhere between $10.50

Wood
Windows
Most wood windows use either single strength (ss) glass or
double strength (ds) glass, although some wood windows also
have insulated units in them. Insulated units are 2 pieces of
glass that have been vacuum sealed together. Insulated units
are a special order item and vary in price. The approximate
cost to repair your wood window can be figured by calculating
the cost of the glass plus the cost of the labor to remove the
old glass and install the new glass. Single strength glass
costs $1.98 per square foot. Double strength glass costs $2.75
